Inter-House Skating Competition: A Thrilling Showcase of Skill and Speed

The Inter-House Skating Competition at St. Xavier’s High School was a spectacular event that brought together young skaters eager to showcase their talent and determination. The competition featured three categories: Liners, Quads and Adjustable, providing students with an opportunity to excel in their respective disciplines.  

The energy and enthusiasm were palpable as participants from all four houses competed with great zeal. After a series of thrilling races, the winners were declared:  
- 1st Place: Nicholas House
- 2nd Place: Michael House
- 3rd Place: Raphael House
- 4th Place: Patrick House

Congratulations to all the participants for their outstanding performances and to Nicholas House for clinching the top spot! This event highlighted the spirit of teamwork, perseverance and sportsmanship that defines Xaverians.

Exciting Science Experiment with Grade 3 Students

Today, our Grade 3 students delved into the fascinating world of science under the guidance of Ms. Deepali. The experiment was designed to spark curiosity and enhance their understanding of basic scientific principles.  

This engaging session not only deepened their understanding of the topic but also encouraged them to ask questions, think critically, and explore the wonders of science. It was a fun and educational experience for all!

KG-J Assembly: Celebrating Harmony in Diversity

The students of KG-J presented a captivating and insightful class assembly on the theme "Harmony in Diversity." The event beautifully underscored the value of unity and respect in embracing differences.
The assembly commenced with a heartfelt song about togetherness and respect for diversity. This was followed by an engaging skit where the young participants embodied various characters symbolizing qualities such as strength, kindness, creativity, and intelligence. Each character highlighted a unique aspect of individuality, demonstrating how these differences contribute to building a harmonious and thriving community.
Through their performance, the children emphasized the significance of embracing diversity and illustrated how mutual acceptance and appreciation of each other’s strengths pave the way for peace and unity. The assembly concluded with a vibrant and energetic dance performance, symbolizing harmony through synchronized movements and eye-catching props.
The event served as a poignant reminder that, much like the diverse flowers in a garden, our differences enrich the world and make it a more beautiful place. 
The assembly concluded with inspiring words from the respected Headmistress and Coordinator, encouraging all to cherish and celebrate diversity. Finally, the event ended on a patriotic note with the singing of the national anthem, fostering a deep sense of pride and unity among the audience.

Congratulations to Our Skating Star, Lavisha!

We are thrilled to share that our talented young skater, Lavisha, showcased her exceptional skills at the 38th Haryana State Roller Skating Championship, organized by H.R.S.A in Panchkula from 9th to 12th November 2024.  

Competing in the 5-7 Cadet Female Age Group in the Quads category, Lavisha demonstrated determination and excellence on the track. Her hard work and dedication paid off with a remarkable podium finish, earning 2 Bronze medals in the 1+D Laps and 3 Laps races.  

Lavisha's achievement is a testament to her passion for skating and commitment to excellence. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishment and look forward to seeing her soar to even greater heights!

At St. Xavier’s High School, UKG learning is seamlessly integrated with art and creativity, transforming everyday lessons into engaging and memorable experiences. For instance, the concept of counting by 5’s was taught through a vibrant handprint group activity, where children painted and grouped handprints in sets of five, making math both fun and tactile. Similarly, in the EVS theme of animals, students created their paper origami aquariums, crafting colourful fish and seaweed to explore marine life in a hands-on way.

Events like National Pollution Control Day further exemplify this creative approach, as children participated in a slogan-writing activity, designing visually impactful messages about reducing pollution. By combining artistic expression with academic learning, we not only enhance engagement and skill development but also foster creativity, teamwork, and environmental awareness. This unique approach ensures our young learners grow into curious and imaginative individuals.

KG I Assembly: A Journey Through Seasons

The students of KG I presented a delightful assembly on the theme "A Journey Through Seasons." The little ones stole the show dressed in creative costumes representing the four seasons—summer, winter, monsoon, and spring. They showcased their talents through a lively rap performance that captivated the audience.
Adding to the charm, the children presented an enchanting dance with Santa Claus symbolizing winter and a vibrant butterfly celebrating the arrival of spring. Their performances were a blend of joy and energy, leaving everyone in awe.
The assembly concluded on an inspiring note with words of encouragement shared by the respected HM ma’am and coordinator ma’am. Finally, the event ended with the singing of the national anthem, fostering a sense of pride and unity among all.

*Walt Disney Day Celebration*  

At St. Xavier's High School, Sector 81, Gurgaon, the magic of Walt Disney came alive as students celebrated Walt Disney Day with a series of engaging and fun-filled activities!  

Our *Pre-Primary* kids kick-started the day with lively discussions about Walt Disney, his iconic characters, and the joy they bring to children worldwide. Their excitement was infectious as they shared their favourite Disney memories.  

*Grade 1* students combined creativity and healthy eating by crafting delightful Mickey-shaped kabobs, learning the importance of nutritious snacks in a fun way.  

*Grade 2* brought the Disney spirit to life with a vibrant dance performance, channelling the joy and energy of their beloved Disney tunes.  

Meanwhile, *Grade 3* students immersed themselves in a classic Disney movie screening, sparking smiles and igniting their imaginations.  

This enchanting day celebrated the timeless legacy of Walt Disney, inspiring creativity, joy, and wonder across all age groups!

*National Pollution Prevention Day: Uniting for a Cleaner Tomorrow*

National Pollution Prevention Day, celebrated on December 2nd, inspires action for a cleaner planet. Pre-primary students create vibrant slogans and watch engaging PPTs to learn about pollution. Grade 1 students spread awareness with a spirited rally, while Grade 2 tests their knowledge through an exciting quiz on pollution. Grade 3 students led a rally focused on pollution control, promoting a healthier environment. Together, these activities inspire everyone to take steps toward a pollution-free world.
