Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence as students across Grades I, II, and III came together to honour the timeless values of Mahatma Gandhi — simplicity, self-reliance, cleanliness and harmony with nature. The day was marked by a series of creative and meaningful activities that brought Bapu’s teachings to life in engaging ways.

Students of Grade I participated in a hands-on art activity by bringing small pieces of cotton or khadi cloth from home and using ladyfinger cut-outs dipped in paint to create beautiful organic prints, showcasing the natural and handmade essence of khadi.

In Grade II, children paid tribute to Gandhiji’s ideals by taking part in a classroom clean-up drive and were encouraged to extend this initiative to their homes as well. They also explored sustainability and creativity through a Khadi Art activity, using leaf and vegetable stamps dipped in paint to design organic patterns — symbolising the harmony between nature and man-made efforts like khadi.

Students of Grade III similarly honoured Gandhiji’s values of Swachhta (cleanliness) and Seva (selfless service) by enthusiastically participating in classroom clean-up drives and pledging to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings at school and home.

The celebration served as a heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation, inspiring young learners to embody his principles in their daily lives and contribute to building a cleaner, more compassionate and mindful world.
