The Grade III STEAM EXPO was a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation and experiential learning. The event provided students with a wonderful platform to explore concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through hands-on projects. With great confidence and enthusiasm, students showcased their talents and demonstrated their understanding through a wide range of thoughtfully planned models and presentations.

During the expo, students presented VEX GO Robotics projects where they designed innovative robots using sensors, motors, and structural components. They explained how robots move, detect obstacles, and perform tasks by applying basic engineering principles. The coding projects displayed interactive programs and simple games developed using block-based and text-based coding, highlighting students’ logical thinking, sequencing skills, and creative problem-solving abilities. In addition, students exhibited electronics projects that included circuits made using switches, LEDs, motors, and sensors, helping them understand the practical application of electricity and electronics in everyday life.

A special highlight of the expo was the AI-based Smart Waste Segregation project. Through this initiative, students demonstrated intelligent systems designed using Artificial Intelligence to identify and segregate dry waste, wet waste, and harmful waste. By using cameras and trained models, the system could recognize different types of waste and automatically sort them into appropriate bins, spreading awareness about cleanliness, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.

The event was greatly appreciated by the parents, who were impressed by the clarity, confidence, and communication skills displayed by the young learners. The encouraging presence of our Headmistress, Ms Ramandeep Kaur, and Coordinator, Ms Shivani Mehra, added to the success of the programme as they applauded the dedicated efforts of the students and teachers. We also express our sincere gratitude to our collaborator NASCA for their continuous guidance and valuable support.

The STEAM EXPO truly reflected the spirit of learning beyond textbooks and successfully inspired students to think innovatively, work collaboratively, and apply knowledge in meaningful ways.

To foster continuous professional development and holistic growth among educators, a series of enriching workshops was conducted from 8 January to 10 January 2026. Designed to inspire reflection, strengthen leadership, and enhance classroom practices, the sessions brought together insightful perspectives from experienced leadership team, motivational speakers, and healthcare professionals.

The workshop series commenced on 8 January 2026 with “Empowered Minds: Learning What We Can Control”, conducted by Coordinator Ms Shivani Mehra. The session focused on developing emotional resilience, self-awareness, and a positive mindset among teachers. Through thoughtful discussions and practical examples, educators were encouraged to identify areas within their control and adopt constructive responses to everyday challenges.

On 9 January 2026, a workshop on “Strategic Leadership”, led by Ms Shivani Mehra, was conducted to highlight effective leadership practices in educational settings. Teachers gained valuable insights into decision-making, teamwork, vision building, and proactive problem-solving, empowering them to emerge as confident leaders within their classrooms and institutions.
The same day, pre-primary teachers participated in an engaging and motivating session titled “The Power of Positive Words”, conducted by Ms Isha Chauhan, a motivational speaker. The workshop emphasized the impact of language on young minds and reinforced the importance of using encouraging, affirming, and empathetic communication.

The workshop series concluded on 10 January 2026 with two highly significant sessions. “Building a Strong Foundation for Young Learners”, led by Headmistress Ms Ramandeep Kaur, underscored the importance of early childhood education in shaping lifelong learning habits. The session focused on age-appropriate pedagogy, experiential learning, and creating a supportive classroom environment that fosters cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Additionally, a practical and life-saving workshop on “First Aid and ABC Life” was conducted in collaboration with AARVY Hospital. Medical professionals sensitized teachers to emergency response procedures, basic life support, and first-aid measures, reinforcing the crucial role educators play in ensuring student safety and well-being.

Overall, the workshop series proved to be a meaningful and transformative experience, equipping teachers with essential skills, renewed motivation, and a deeper sense of responsibility towards their profession. The initiative reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to excellence in education through continuous learning and empowerment of its educators.
