Grade 2, Field Trip to ISKCON Temple: A Journey of Discovery

🌟 Today, our students of Grade 2, had an enlightening experience at the ISKCON Temple! 🌟

The field trip provided students with a valuable opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge from the "Places We Worship and Days to celebrate" chapter with practical experience. By engaging with the temple's sacred rituals, exploring beautiful architecture, and community, students gained a deeper appreciation for the role of religious places in fostering spiritual and social harmony and also learned about the teachings of Krishna's consciousness.

The highlight was engaging with temple devotees and gaining insights into their daily lives and spiritual practices. This visit helped connect classroom lessons with real-world experiences, deepening our appreciation for diverse cultures and religious traditions.

Our school recently hosted a captivating SPIC MACAY puppet show for our KG students, where we welcomed the guests and the parents in traditional Rajasthani style. The colourful attire, folk music, and warm greetings set a vibrant atmosphere. Talented puppeteers brought stories to life, mesmerizing the young audience with delightful puppets and lively performances. Parents along with the students, thoroughly enjoyed the enchanting storytelling. The event not only entertained but also introduced the children to India's rich cultural heritage. It was a memorable experience that left everyone with smiles and cherished memories.

Special Assembly:  

Empathy- Grade 3 E students presented an assembly on the theme of Empathy, showcasing their talents through poetry, a compelling mime act, and a scintillating dance performance. The assembly highlighted the importance of understanding and sharing the feelings of others. The students’ efforts were highly appreciated by HM Ma’am and coordinator Ma’am, who praised the presentation for its creativity and meaningful message.

Special Assembly, III D 

The students participated in a vibrant  school assembly on "Generation of Computers" designed to spark their curiosity about technology and Artificial Intelligence. The session began with an engaging presentation on the generation of computers including their evolution and how they revolutionized over a period of time. Students learned about the abacus, vaccum tubes, personal computers ,robots and Artificial Intelligence.
Assembly was concluded by sizzling performance of the robots.

 Overall, the event inspired excitement and curiosity about the world of computers .

KG Role Play activity : Community helpers 

The kindergarten students enthusiastically participated in a role play activity, donning vibrant costumes and delivering thoughtful lines about their favourite community helper.This activity inspired them to recognise the everyday heroes around them and appreciate the work they do.

Inter house Tableau Competition

 The divine essence of Janmashtami came alive with today's competition! Each house beautifully depicted scenes from the life of Lord Krishna, celebrating his mischievous childhood, his wisdom and his love for humanity. From the vibrant colours to the expressive portrayals, the event was a feast for the eyes and soul. 

This creative competition fostered teamwork, artistry and a deeper connection to our culture. Truly, it was an unforgettable celebration of devotion, creativity and unity.

Special Assembly, 2K - Krishna's Melody : Janmashtami Jubilee

The students of Grade 2K, our enthusiastic learners brought the spirit of Janmashtami to life with a delightful assembly! The air was filled with joy and devotion as our young ones celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna through vibrant performances and heartfelt prayers invoking blessings for peace and prosperity.
The assembly began with an introduction to Lord Krishna followed by the enchanting Krishna’s birth skit, where our little actors showcased key moments from Lord Krishna’s birth with remarkable enthusiasm and creativity. Our talented kids then took the stage, dazzling everyone with a beautiful dance performance depicting the life and playful antics of young Krishna. Their graceful movements and radiant smiles truly captured the essence of this auspicious festival.
The highlight of the event was from the mischievous butter-stealing episodes to the profound lessons of friendship and love, the children’s performance was both entertaining and educational.

Enchanting Janmashtami Celebrations on Campus:

The Janmashtami celebrations on campus were a vibrant display of festive spirit and enthusiasm. The Pre-Nursery and Nursery children brought joy to the event by decorating pots, their colorful attire adding an extra touch of delight to the festivities. Kindergarten and Upper Kindergarten students indulged in the art of making coconut ladoos during their kitchenette activity and further expressed their creativity by decorating clay pots with various materials.Their excitement grew as they watched an enchanting tale of Lord Krishna's birth.

Grade 1 students transformed into adorable little Krishnas and Radhas, embodying the essence of the festival with their traditional attire. The Grade 2 students also embraced the festive spirit, dressing as Radha and Krishna, and demonstrated their artistic talent by drawing beautiful matkis. They were enthralled by a captivating storytelling session that vividly brought the tales of Lord Krishna to life. Meanwhile, the Grade 3 students embarked on a literary adventure, writing stories inspired by the life of Lord Krishna.
The celebrations left a lasting impression, filling the campus with joy, creativity, and a deep sense of cultural connection.

Kindergarten field trip to Post Office 

"Exploring new places opens up a world of possibilities for young minds." To bring the theme of community helpers to life, a special field trip to the local post office was arranged for our kindergarteners. This experience helped the children understand the important roles the postman and the post office play in our daily lives. The children loved being part of this immersive experience, which truly highlighted the joy of learning outside the classroom and the lasting impact of real-world experiences

Special Assembly - II J

"A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life." 
 Raksha Bandhan is a significant and joyous celebration of love, protection and unity. It is a time to cherish relationship, create memories and strengthen bond between brothers and sisters. With this in mind the students of Grade 2 J conducted a  special assembly on 21August to celebrate Raksha bandhan and to reflect upon the timeless relationship between brothers and sisters.
The assembly commenced with a beautiful quote and a warm welcome to respected Headmistress and Coordinator ma’am. Children explained the significance of the festival and how the eternal bond between a brother and sister is celebrated in India. It was followed by a melodious song by our tiny tots. This sets the tone for the celebrations of this special day.
The children also performed a skit where they shared the roots of Rakshabandhan in ancient mythology when Goddess Lakshmi, tied a sacred thread on the wrist of king Bali, ensuring his protection and prosperity.  The skit also showed a new and unique way of celebrating Rakshabandhan through Eco friendly and plantable Rakhi’s.
The assembly ended with a wonderful dance performance followed by an encouraging and motivating address by respected Headmistress ma’am.

Independence Day - Flag Hoisting Ceremony 

St. Xavier’s High School, Sector 81, celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by soul-stirring cultural performances by the Dance and Music departments. The students showcased their talent and love for the nation through mesmerizing dance sequences and melodious songs. The Headmistress addressed the gathering, inspiring everyone with her words of wisdom. The event concluded with the Coordinator expressing heartfelt gratitude to all who joined and contributed to making the celebration a grand success.

INDEPENDENCE WEEK : DAY 3 

Independence : A Nation's Pride  , A people's glory !!
ST. XAVIER'S SECTOR 81 branch , observed their 3rd day of Independence week celebration. Right from Pre Nursery to Grade 3 , the whole group  engaged themselves in narration activity , role play , Tri Color dressing , traditional potray of different states with song and dance to name a few .
The PRE NURSERY group did a kitchenette activity of making Tri Color sandwich which included white bread slice , cheese with toppings of cucumber and tomatoes depicting our shinning flag colors . Also they used their tiny hands to create our National Flag .
The NURSERY group engaged children in a dress up activity where children came dressed up as freedom fighters and voiced out the slogans and thoughts on  independence. 
KG on the other hand came dressed up in Tri Color attire depicting strength , courage , peace and prosperity they put these feelings in the coloring of our esteemed flag with pride .
The UKG group made a Tri Color Rakhi and dressed up as freedom fighters to honor  the day. 
GRADE 1 all dressed up in different states attire bloomed up the space with lovely songs and dances .
GRADE 2 held a session on various freedom fighters on the smart board , alongwith a craft bound activity to mark the celebration.  GRADE 3 carried out the Independence Day Parade and marched through life with great joy , happiness , courage and pride with slogans like VANDE MATARAM .
Wishing everyone a joyous and flamboyant celebration  ahead .

Special Assembly - 2-I 

Alone we can do so little , together we can do so much
   With this thought, students of Grade 2-I presented a special assembly on 14th August 2024. Through their assembly they showcased the concept of unity in diversity. Kids presented a skit on “The rainbow of unity “ which depicted how different colours come together to form a beautiful rainbow.  A group of  students performed a dance on patriotic song showcasing their love for country .  The poem and song served as a powerful reminder that despite our differences we all are united . The children performances highlighted how people from different religions, castes and creeds all live amicably together here, undoubtedly united by the sole feeling of ‘being an Indian. Students, all dressed up in tri colour added vibrancy to the assembly.
The sheer exuberance of the assembly left an indelible imprint on young minds and helped them understand the concept of unity in diversity of our country.

Inter School Champions 

Congratulations to our talented students for their remarkable achievements in recent inter-school competitions! 
Shanaya Arora of Grade II shone brightly by securing the first position at the competition organized by Ompee International School. 
Praanvi Joshi, also of Grade II, showcased her skills by securing third position at Mount Olympus School. Additionally, our young star, Seerat Kamra of UKG, brought immense pride to our school by winning first place . These outstanding accomplishments reflect their hard work and dedication, and we are incredibly proud of them! Keep shining!

This prestigious event saw participation from schools across the region, showcasing exceptional talent and fierce competition.

INDEPENDENCE WEEK : DAY 2 
Freedom in the mind , faith in the words and pride in our souls .
ST. XAVIER'S SECTOR 81 branch , observed their 2nd day of independence week Celebration. Right from  Nursery to Grade III , the whole group indulged in fruitful and fun loving activities. 
The NURSERY group did a kitchenette activity of making Tri Color sandwich which included white bread slice , cheese with toppings of cucumber and tomatoes depicting our shinning flag colors .
The KG group conducted a science experiment where children saw the colors of our esteemed flag , sailing in water vividly,  they also made a Tri Color butterfly to mark the celebration. 
UKG on the other hand created Tri Color rockets booming into the space spreading colors of harmony , joy , strength and peace .
GRADE 1 discussed the role of our eminent freedom fighters in our country's independence journey. 
GRADE 2 showed their culinary skills by preparing a yummilicious,  lip smacking dish for the occasion  .
On  the other hand GRADE 3 culminated the celebration with poster making activity involving young minds to generate spirit of independence through bright colors and bold statements .
We look forward for an exciting day 3 with our shinning stars .

Day 1: Independence Week Celebration 

The Independence Week Celebration kicked off with great enthusiasm and patriotism across all grades. The youngest participants, Pre-Nursery kids, showcased their love for the nation through patriotic singing, filling the air with joyful melodies. Nursery students joined in with spirited slogan shouting and engaged in the creative activity of coloring the Indian flag.

The excitement continued with KG and UKG students, who were engrossed in storytelling sessions related to Independence Day. They also expressed their creativity by making flags and writing inspiring slogans.

Grade 1 students added to the patriotic fervor with their melodious renditions of patriotic songs, while Grade 2 students recited heartfelt “Deshbhakti ki Kavita,” evoking a deep sense of national pride.

Grade 3 students were treated to an informative PowerPoint presentation about India’s independence, followed by an engaging quiz that tested their knowledge and sparked lively discussions.

Overall, the first day of the Independence Week Celebration set the tone for the days to come, with students of all ages participating with zeal and passion.

SPIC MACAY 
St. Xavier’s High School recently hosted a mesmerizing puppeteer event organized by SPIC MACAY for the students of Grade 3. The event featured the world-famous puppeteer, Mr. Puran Bhatt, along with his talented team. They captivated the young audience with a magnificent performance, showcasing various traditional puppets as part of their mission to keep the ancient art of “Kathputli” alive.

Mr. Bhatt’s expert manipulation of the puppets, combined with engaging storytelling, brought the characters to life, leaving the students spellbound. The event not only provided an entertaining experience but also educated the students about the rich cultural heritage of India. Through this event, the students gained a deeper appreciation for traditional art forms and the importance of preserving them for future generations.

Special Assembly- 2H 

"Not all heroes wear capes. Some make our days brighter with their kindness, courage, and selflessness."
With this in mind our incredible Grade 2H students put on a fantastic Special Assembly on "Heroes Around Us".  There were performances featuring a skit where students dressed up as various Community helpers tried to explain how these unsung heroes work tirelessly for everybody, a beautiful Guru Vandana dance, a touching poem to express their gratitude to our everyday heores, and a unifying song to reiterate the fact that together everyone can make up a community. Topic "Monsoon Fiesta"

First drops of rain always bring a smile on our faces. Rainy season or monsoon the beautiful season of the year is a gift of God to mankind .It revives our souls and fills the surroundings with beauty of fresh greenery .To acknowledge this blessed gift of god students of II F conducted a special assembly with the theme Monsoon Fiesta. The assembly started with the quote "Without the rain they would be no rainbow" and welcoming of Headmistress ma'am and Coordinator ma'am. Students provided vital information with enthusiasm and excitement to promote awareness about the importance of rainwater harvesting and conservation 
Do's and don'ts of the rainy season were shared by students
A short skit "the Adventures of drippy a water drop" was enacted by students where the journey of a raindrop from the clouds to the Earth was shown it ended with a pledge. 
Poem "a little plant "was recited where little seed eagerly waits for the rain was depicted.
A vibrant peacock dance performance was showcased. 
The assembly concluded by Headmistress ma'am address and words of wisdom.

Special Assembly - 2G 
Our school organized a special assembly for grade 2 G students themed "Fitness Fiesta." The assembly aimed to promote physical fitness and healthy living among young students through various engaging activities. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the talents and enthusiasm of our second graders.
The assembly began with a serene and calming demonstration of yoga asanas. Our young students performed a series of poses that emphasized flexibility, strength, and mental focus. 
Following the yoga session, a group of students sang a lively song about the benefits of staying active and healthy. The catchy tune and cheerful lyrics brought smiles to everyone's faces and highlighted the joy of maintaining a fit lifestyle.
A heartfelt poem about fitness and well-being was recited by our talented grade 2 G students. The poem beautifully conveyed the message of the importance of physical activity. 
The assembly continued with an entertaining and educational skit performed by our budding actors. The skit highlighted the significance of exercise, good nutrition, and a positive attitude. 
An energetic dance performance followed the skit, showcasing the students' rhythm and coordination. The dance routine was met with enthusiastic applause as the young dancers impressed everyone with their synchronized moves and high energy.
The assembly concluded with an exciting skating demonstration. Our young skaters displayed their skills and agility, performing various tricks and maneuvers. The demonstration was a thrilling end to the Fitness Fiesta, leaving the audience in awe of the students' talent and dedication.

Friendship Day 

A true friend is one who walks in when the world walks out. To celebrate Friendship Day, the young Xaverians transformed the campus into a haven of love and camaraderie. The pre-primary stars joyously crafted exquisite friendship bands, exchanging them with delight. The kindergartners showcased their creativity through charming Friendship Day crafts, which they lovingly shared with their buddies. The UKG students poured their hearts into making heartfelt Friendship Day cards for their friends.Grade 1 students adorned their friendship day card with delightful thumbprints designs,each one a unique token of love and creativity.Grade 2 students engaged in a meaningful kindness chain activity, fostering feelings of sharing and love. Grade 3 students reveled in reciting their self-composed poems, expressing their deep affection and admiration for their friends.

The celebrations beautifully underscored the essence of true friendship, as the young Xaverians embraced the spirit of love, kindness, and creativity. Through their heartfelt activities, they not only honored their friends but also reinforced the timeless values of companionship and mutual respect. This Friendship Day is truly a testament to the bonds that connect us all.
