To celebrate the spirit of Children’s Day, St. Xavier’s High School organized an Art Competition for Grades I to III in collaboration with the Rotary Club. The event aimed to provide young Xaverians with a creative platform to express their imagination, artistic skills, and sense of responsibility towards a progressive and united India.
The competition revolved around the inspiring theme “Celebrating the Colours of Growth and Unity.” Students participated enthusiastically, working on topics suited to their grades:
Grade I: Healthy Me, Happy World
Grade II: My Promise for a Green and Growing India
Grade III: Together for Viksit Bharat
The classrooms came alive with colours, creativity, and joyful energy as students used crayons, oil pastels, pencil colours, and sketch pens to bring their ideas to life. Their artworks beautifully reflected awareness about health, environmental care, and national progress.
The event was graced by esteemed guests from the Rotary Club, New Gurgaon Ms. Mini Agarwal, Ms. Mauli Bhatnagar, Mr. Ashok Kumar Malik, Mr. Atul Verma, Ms. Mahua Bhattacharya, and Ms. Poonam, who appreciated the efforts and creativity of the young participants.
Adding to the spirit of encouragement, members of the Student Council from Sector 89—Aradhya (XI-B), Kuuvira (XI-B), Rishit (XI-B), and Vanya (XI-B)—motivated the little artists and assisted in the smooth coordination of the event.
The event was well organised by Ms. Shweta Gupta, whose meticulous planning and coordination ensured its seamless execution.
The competition concluded with words of appreciation from the Coordinator Ms. Shivani Mehra and the Headmistress Ms. Ramandeep Kaur, who commended the students for their artistic expression and creativity.
The Art Competition truly nurtured creativity, imagination, and a spirit of unity among young learners, making it a memorable celebration of Children’s Day.
