Christmas is a festival of joy, sharing and giving. It is commemorated to rejoice the birth of Jesus Christ.
Our Xaverians celebrated Christmas with great fervour and zeal on December 23, 2021. Students of grade 1 to 8 showcased a special virtual assembly on this splendid day. The assembly commenced with a Prayer seeking the Lord’s blessings to provide peace and serenity to our minds and soul followed a thought-provoking skit. The skit emphasized that Christmas is more than just Santa, cards, toys or gifts.  no stone unturned.

The spectacular idea brought forth the concept that anyone can be  Santa in your life who brings happiness, joy and bliss.

Carol singing by our choir brought the spirit and gaiety of Christmas alive and mesmerized everyone. The foot tapping dance performance filled the hearts of children with cheer and joy.
May Christmas fill everyone’s life with new hope, positivity, joy and bliss!! MERRY CHRISTMAS

“A CHILD HAS BEEN BORN FOR US. A SON IS GIVEN TO US. AUTHORITY RESTS UPON HIM AND HE IS NAMED JESUS.

It is again the time to celebrate the birth of the Son of the Lord – Jesus Christ. Christmas is a time of joy for everyone and especially the kids, as they wait for Santa Claus all year through. The physically closed classrooms could not stop the Pre-Primers from being super excited and preparing hard for a happening Christmas. The celebrations started with a special webinar through which our confident little Xaverians told everyone about the true spirit of Christmas. Special Christmas dances were prepared and kids were looking cute as a button as they matched their steps with each other, all dressed and painted in Christmas colours. There was also a special nativity play enacted by our tiny tots, portraying the birth of Lord Jesus. The event was full of energy and positivity. The hardwork and effort put up by the kids and their teachers behind this great show was clearly visible. It was followed by virtual class celebrations where the kids were explained how Christmas started, the story behind it, and many beautiful things related to this festival, like the decorations and traditional food. They also learnt that the true happiness is not just in receiving, but also in giving and sharing the things with those who are really needy. They sang the Christmas carols that they had learnt in their classes. Pre-Nursery kids made a wreath, Christmas tree and yummy chocolate balls. Nursery and KG kids also made a beautiful and easy 3D Christmas tree for themselves. The virtual celebrations were full of dance, music and a lot of fun. Let us all spread some positivity and cheer for those who are far or near because Christmas is not a season, it is a heartfelt feeling. Merry Christmas to everyone!!

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.”
Take a peek at the fun we had this morning!
Christmas is a festival of joy, sharing and giving. It is also celebrated to rejoice the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas Celebration was held with great fervour and gaiety, spreading the message of love and joy among our Xaverians. The celebration commenced with buzzing wishes of Merry Christmas to bless everyone’s life with new hope, positivity, joy and bliss. Also, the New Year should bring better times ahead for everyone. A special assembly was well planned and executed wherein the teachers presented an enriching story based on the birth of Jesus Christ. The significance of the festival was brought to the students through this amazing story. Mellifluous carols like “Joy to the World” and many more were sung by the students bringing the spirit and gaiety of Christmas alive. The teacher explained the meaning of ‘CHRISTMAS” and shared some interesting facts related to the festival. The foot tapping dance numbers filled the hearts of children, donned in Christmas related costumes, with cheer and joy. Teachers organized online games and craft activities which added excitement to the celebration. Xaverians were exhilarated, adding effervescence to the celebration while attempting the riddles. The celebration dazzled with live webinars, ‘Choc ‘N Chuckle’, ‘Jingle Ball, 2021’where Xaverians not only celebrated the birth of Lord Jesus but also tried their hands on scrumptious cookies and mouth-watering cakes with charismatic chocolatier, Ms. Ritika Nasa Arora. St. Xavier’s High School carried out a drive named ‘Joy of Giving’ with an aim to spread happiness and fun to the under-privileged children. Xaverians got to experience the joy of giving by delightfully donating eatables, clothes and other gifts to bring a smile to the lovely faces. Everyone earnestly pledged to extend a helping hand to the needy people. The school premises was blanketed with awe-striking decoration with bells, stars, streamers, joy sticks, Christmas tree, chimney and many more. It was indeed true that the warmth of Christmas was felt from the heart and the actions just proved it right!
