Yoga For Humanity: On Path of creating Yogveers
DAY 3
Yoga, being a catalyst to mental well-being embodies the unity of mind and body. It helps to instill confidence, bring learning to children on an experiential level and teaches them to persevere, be patient, and work towards their goals.
The 3rd day of Yogaveer Programme highlighted the fact that yoga can contribute in an integrated way to achieve an equilibrium between body and mind. Students started the day by doing basic warm up exercises followed by Omkar chanting. Thereafter, under able guidance & demonstration, the students performed sitting and standing asanas which includes Natrajasana, Malaasana, Stick pose and Dhanurasana. The session concluded with some breathing techniques and exercises like Pranayam and Meditation.
Inculcation of yoga amongst student life will vastly help in improving concentration and focus, that are universal ingredients of success. Team Xavier's is determined to nourish the essence of yoga amongst students as a part of their learning process.
