Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honour them St. Xavier’s High School, sec. 81 celebrated Grandparents Day with flying colours and inevitable ardour on 10th September,21. The endearing celebration was aimed to pour out the hearts repleted with abundant love and respect in children’s hearts for their grandparents. The children were quite impassioned to see their grand dad or grand mom participating in the games and cheered them wholeheartedly. The grandparents were very sportive and brought out the child in them through their active participation. The fond affection for their grandchildren reflected in their gestures and priceless smiles. The children seemed like a motivation factor for everyone to give their best. Facilitators were delighted to witness the happiness ushering in the faces of all the grandparents who made the most of this wonderful day with enjoyment. All the games were thoughtfully planned by the teachers so as to make the special day, memorable for all the grandparents. The celebration culminated with a vote of thanks for the immense support and love received from the grandparents which is surely a driving factor. It was a successful celebration indeed, and the school as always would be pleased to organize many such special celebrations.
