The kids of KG A had an enjoyable session with their teachers and classmates. Though they were meeting for the first time in person, it looked like they knew each other very well. They were very excited to play different PE games and did dancing and singing among the various other activities planned for them. Meeting the teachers dressed as a clown and getting a cute takeaway from them brought an even bigger smile on their faces.

Smiles and warmth sprinkled by the tiny tots on the play date was the catch of the day. Rainbow of excitement,energy, compassion, love was visible from all the children. It was a visual treat to watch them playing and enjoying the day to the fullest. Kids enjoyed different  activities like face painting, colouring, dancing ,singing. Well spent day for all including  teachers.

Play ‘N Sway was a totally fun-filled session for Nursery D kids. The warmth and love shared by the teachers and kids was quite evident and it did not seem like this was their first meeting. Kids were very happy to get their pictures clicked in the selfie corner and with the clown. They also got some cute face paintings done. Kids were very excited and just wanted the session to go on.

Nursery C class had time spent well with their class teachers and friends. Activities like Selfie Corner, Music, and Dance were among the various things planned for them. Meeting the teachers dressed as a clown and getting a takeaway from them was the highlight of the day for the little kids. Parents were amazed to see the efforts put up by the school and were equally excited to get their pictures clicked.

Nursery B kids had a gala time with their teachers and friends. They were totally engrossed in the various interesting activities. They had fun playing different PE games and enjoyed dance and face painting. The parents were equally happy to see the smiling faces of their children. Kids were thrilled to get a cute clowny takeaway and could not stop smiling.

The much-awaited Play ‘N Sway event started with a bang with Pre-Nursery and Nursery A kids coming to the school on the first day. They were really excited to meet their teachers and friends for the very first time. Kids were so happy to be a part of various fun activities like face painting and dance to name a few. They were beaming with joy and did not want the session to end.

We are ready to Play n Sway with our little ones as we invite the children from PN to Grade 2 in a staggered manner keeping all protocols intact. 

An hour long session will include lots of PE activities , Music , Dance , Colouring fun , Selfie corner , Face painting , Play gym area etc...

Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honour them St. Xavier’s High School, sec. 81 celebrated Grandparents Day with flying colours and inevitable ardour on 10th September,21. The endearing celebration was aimed to pour out the hearts repleted with abundant love and respect in children’s hearts for their grandparents. The children were quite impassioned to see their grand dad or grand mom participating in the games and cheered them wholeheartedly. The grandparents were very sportive and brought out the child in them through their active participation. The fond affection for their grandchildren reflected in their gestures and priceless smiles. The children seemed like a motivation factor for everyone to give their best. Facilitators were delighted to witness the happiness ushering in the faces of all the grandparents who made the most of this wonderful day with enjoyment. All the games were thoughtfully planned by the teachers so as to make the special day, memorable for all the grandparents. The celebration culminated with a vote of thanks for the immense support and love received from the grandparents which is surely a driving factor. It was a successful celebration indeed, and the school as always would be pleased to organize many such special celebrations.

Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations - Pre Primary wing
The elephant-headed God of the beginnings, who is traditionally worshipped before starting anything auspicious or important. Ganesh, Ganpati, Gajanan, Vinayaka, Ekdant, and many more – we call him by so many names. He is the God of wisdom and prosperity and is certainly a favourite among the kids. The Pre-Primary kids had a lot of fun celebrating the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. The session started with Ganesh Mantra and kids danced to the tunes of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” and “Bal Ganesh” as they welcomed Lord Ganpati. They were amazed to see the story of his birth and how he got his elephant head. They were happy to know that like them, Lord Ganesh also loved sweets like laddoos and modak. They were made aware of this 10-day long festival along with the tradition of “Visarjan” or immersion of idols. The ill-effects of idols made from plaster of Paris and the importance of switching over to eco-friendly idols were also discussed. The Pre-Nursery kids made Ganpati craft with a disposable cup. The Nursery kids made a craft related to Lord Ganesh with Kinder Joy. The Kindergarteners prepared a colourful Ganesh idol with play dough. The session was full of positivity and fun.  May the Vighnaharta take away all the troubles and bless us all with happiness and wisdom. We wish everyone a Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!

With our aim to rejoice and remember our culture, tradition and importance of celebrating festivals, on Friday 10th September,21, a special assembly, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, was earmarked on virtual mode by the students of St. Xavier’s High School.sec.81 with evident pomp and gaiety. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati. The festival is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav The celebration commenced with a melodious invocation, the Ganesh Vandana by the Xaverians along with traditional shloka presentation. Children with great fervour showcased dances, songs and skits depicting the importance of Lord Vinayaka. The birth of Lord Ganesh and his origin was explained through a story supported by a power point presentation. To reinforce the learnings of shree Ganesha and taking up the role of torch bearer St. Xavier’s High School paved the way for an eco-friendly way to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi as the young Xaverians crafted eco-friendly Ganesha idols and beautifully decorated them for the occasion. The students prayed to the Lord Ganesha, the symbol of wisdom, to bestow his presence on earth during this festival and remove the obstacles from everyone’s life. The celebration culminated with the bright happy faces as they found the celebration quite insightful and enjoyed thoroughly.

When God created grandparents, the world was truly blessed with all the special joys that make a family happiest. Their experience, knowledge and valuable life lessons help us to learn and grow each day.

A step towards environment protection “Green Drive” by St. Xavier’s High School, sec.-81
‘Tress are where life grows.’
With our mission to conserve and protect natural resources for future generations, and to protect human health through environmental stewardship ,St. Xavier’s High School, sec.-81 had taken an initiative to contribute it’s bit with a planned virtual Green Drive- a step towards Environment Protection,  for grades Pre-nursery-V which was held on 9th September,21. Xaverians were sensitized about environment protection and understood that we all owe environment so much that it is every individual’s responsibility to save and work towards its protection. 
This drive was conducted as a part of IDA, British Council activity to spread awareness about environment protection, consequences of all the depleting resources and importance of conserving and planting more trees. The drive was an effort to combat pollution and a step towards maintaining ecological balance by focusing on the single most critical element in the sustenance of life – Grow Trees, Save Trees. Facilitators shared thought provoking presentations stating the fact that we don’t notice the effects of human activities on environment immediately but they will have huge repercussions on the lives of future generations. Students were enthralled to learn that it is in our hands where we can still save or destroy the environment. In the hope of a better future, Xavier’s family not only planted saplings but also pledged to continue saving the environment and spreading awareness for the same

Teachers day celebration, Pre Primary - 
It is said that what a teacher is, is more important than what he teaches because teaching is a work of heart. A good education can change anyone, but a good teacher can change everything. It feels just right to celebrate the Guides who light up our lives in so many ways. Teachers’ Day was celebrated by the Pre-Primers with a lot of fun and fervor. They were apprised about the importance of this day and why it is celebrated. The kids were given the theme of “My Favourite Teacher” to prepare something on. They had the liberty of choosing between dancing, singing, telling a rhyme, or making a card for their mentors. The kids were really excited and were talking every day about the surprise they were planning for their teachers and what a day it was!! The kids were all ready with their acts. Some kids had dressed up as their favourite teachers and acted like them. Some had prepared a dance number. Some had prepared Guru Mantra and shlokas and explained their meaning too. Some kids sang rhymes and beautiful songs. Some had made beautiful cards and even tried to write the affectionate messages themselves. All of this for their favourite teacher! Their loving acts surely made everyone’s day. It was indeed a lovely and lively celebration. The emotions, the love, and the bond between teachers and their students is beyond words and may it continue to grow stronger. Happy Teachers’ Day!!
