Yoga for Humanity: On path of creating Yogveers

Day 4: The benefits of Yoga are multifaceted and our Xaverians are blessed to be a part of a yoga programme wherein every day, they are learning skills and values that will help them to succeed in the world and live a contented life.

The fourth day of Yogveer Programme was filled with great vigour and vitality. Students participated with full interest, enthusiasm and eagerness. The day started with warm-up exercises and Om Chanting followed by various yoga asanas like Parvatasana, Bhujangasana, Ushtraasana, Sarvangasana, Sukhasana that are proven to benefit mental and physical health, improve concentration and focus. The session ended with meditation which brought tranquility and peace, making the session refreshing, reviving and relaxing. The entire session was well curated, inspiring students to practice yoga to gain health, fitness, happiness, peace and wisdom in life.

    Yoga For Humanity: On Path of creating Yogveers

    DAY 3

    Yoga, being a catalyst to mental well-being embodies the unity of mind and body. It helps to instill confidence, bring learning to children on an experiential level and teaches them to persevere, be patient, and work towards their goals.

     

    The 3rd day of Yogaveer Programme highlighted the fact that yoga can contribute in an integrated way to achieve an equilibrium between body and mind. Students started the day by doing basic warm up exercises followed by Omkar chanting. Thereafter, under able guidance & demonstration, the students performed sitting and standing asanas which includes Natrajasana, Malaasana, Stick pose and Dhanurasana. The session concluded with some breathing techniques and exercises like Pranayam and Meditation.

     Inculcation of yoga amongst student life will vastly help in improving concentration and focus, that are universal ingredients of success. Team Xavier's is determined to nourish the essence of yoga amongst students as a part of their learning process.

      Yoga for Humanity: On Path of Creating Yogveers
      (June 27, 2022-July 1,2022)

      Day:-1 To promote health benefits of Yoga and encourage holistic approach to health, St. Xavier's High School, Sector 81 has organised a week long Yoga programme for students of Grades KG to X, comprised of various incredible sessions forging the path to create Yogveers.

      The bright morning of day 1 started with immense vigour and enthusiasm. The session began with basic stretching and exercises followed by Om Chanting and Yoga asanas like Taadasana, Vrikshasana, Kati-Chakrasana, Trikonasana, Vajrasana and meditation. Students felt rejuvenated and relaxed after the session. We are ecstatic to share the glimpses of Day 1.
