“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.”
Take a peek at the fun we had this morning!
Christmas is a festival of joy, sharing and giving. It is also celebrated to rejoice the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas Celebration was held with great fervour and gaiety, spreading the message of love and joy among our Xaverians. The celebration commenced with buzzing wishes of Merry Christmas to bless everyone’s life with new hope, positivity, joy and bliss. Also, the New Year should bring better times ahead for everyone. A special assembly was well planned and executed wherein the teachers presented an enriching story based on the birth of Jesus Christ. The significance of the festival was brought to the students through this amazing story. Mellifluous carols like “Joy to the World” and many more were sung by the students bringing the spirit and gaiety of Christmas alive. The teacher explained the meaning of ‘CHRISTMAS” and shared some interesting facts related to the festival. The foot tapping dance numbers filled the hearts of children, donned in Christmas related costumes, with cheer and joy. Teachers organized online games and craft activities which added excitement to the celebration. Xaverians were exhilarated, adding effervescence to the celebration while attempting the riddles. The celebration dazzled with live webinars, ‘Choc ‘N Chuckle’, ‘Jingle Ball, 2021’where Xaverians not only celebrated the birth of Lord Jesus but also tried their hands on scrumptious cookies and mouth-watering cakes with charismatic chocolatier, Ms. Ritika Nasa Arora. St. Xavier’s High School carried out a drive named ‘Joy of Giving’ with an aim to spread happiness and fun to the under-privileged children. Xaverians got to experience the joy of giving by delightfully donating eatables, clothes and other gifts to bring a smile to the lovely faces. Everyone earnestly pledged to extend a helping hand to the needy people. The school premises was blanketed with awe-striking decoration with bells, stars, streamers, joy sticks, Christmas tree, chimney and many more. It was indeed true that the warmth of Christmas was felt from the heart and the actions just proved it right!
