International Yoga Day
‘Yoga is the art work of awareness on the canvas of body, mind and soul.’
It is not merely an exercise but a way to attain peace through physical, mental and spiritual well-being. The vivacious journey of yoga commenced at St Xavier’s High School, Sector 81 on 7th June and culminated on 21st June. This monumental event was an enriching and nourishing experience for Xaverians.
To honour and commemorate the rich Indian legacy of Yoga, a magnificent webinar was also conducted on International Yoga Day. Xaverians were live on Facebook with an eminent yoga instructor, Ms Gurpreet Kaur. They performed different yoga asanas, poses and meditation exercises. A special assembly added great value to the day enlightening the students about Yoga-the art of living and its blessings for a healthy life.
Embarking on this marvellous Yogic journey, they learnt that each yogic activity is a key to improve flexibility, strength and balance. They also attained an insight about life transforming benefits of Yoga in different aspects of our life. Wishing everyone a peaceful and healthy life on International Yoga Day!!
