‘A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instil a love of learning.’
Teachers’ Day is celebrated each year on 5th September to honour and acknowledge the special role of teachers in our lives. It is also the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great scholar, philosopher, an exemplary teacher, and politician.
A special teachers' day assembly was held @St. Xavier’s High School, Sector-81 on 4th September with great pomp and enthusiasm. The day commenced by seeking blessings from Almighty. Students paid homage to their teachers through songs, poems, dance and enactments. They gave speeches on the relevance and significance of teachers’ day.
They showered their heartfelt feelings of gratitude towards teachers through letters, thank you notes and creative greeting cards. Teachers were touched with efforts of students and thanked them for showing such great enthusiasm and vigour in making this day special for them. It was indeed a fantabulous celebration and a day filled with fun and frolic.
On this day, we would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all teachers who spend their time, energy and love to care and educate our children. Happy Teachers’ Day!!
