ANNUAL
SPORTS DAY 2018-19 (PRE-NURSERY-IV)
“Talent wins games, but team work and
intelligence wins championships.”
Sports day is about having fun, being physically
active, learning the basics of sports and building co-ordination and motor
skills, so to give the little angels an opportunity to display their
self-confidence, patience, zeal and sportsmanship. St. Xavier’s, Sector 81,
family joined together to commence this day on February 15, 2019 with epitome
of energy, style and colour.
The day commenced with spectacular, impressive and
well synchronized march past, followed by fun races for Pre Nursery and Nursery
students. It was a delight to see the excitement with which the students
challenged themselves to attempt a variety of races like Parrot and Chillies Race,
Insect Adventure Race etc. The young athletes participated with full verve and
vigour and the school ground rimmed with sound of cheers and applause.
An energising and equestrian drill by Xavierians of
Grades KG and I-IV mesmerized the audience. The splendid drills sprayed on the
field a riot of hues, vibrance and radiance. The spectators were enthused and
praised the efforts profusely.
The competitiveness among the students of Grade I-IV
soared high during their fun races. The zealous audience filled the air with
cheering and tons of encouragement for the enthusiastic sports stars.
The winners of fun races were felicitated by
esteemed Headmistress Ms. Sarika R Chopra and the Primary Coordinator Ms. Shivani
Mehra for the excellent exhibition of true sportsmanship. Jubilant students
with dangling medals around their neck for myriad events, accepting the
opponents challenge with utmost grace and to overcome the hard hitting
competition remained the focus of our ecstatic champions.
Respected Headmistress Ms. Sarika R Chopra thanked
all the students and teachers for their cooperation and advised the children to
keep up their sportsman spirit.
It was a day filled with fervour and exhilaration
amidst thrills and cheers.
